ALIEN INCIDENT: Rare
Adventure Game for PC

Alien
Incident is a quirky, 2D, science
fiction adventure that all ages
will enjoy. The puzzles are not difficult or illogical, the gameplay
and interface are very straightforward and the story is fun and
non-violent. The graphics and music just get better and better the
further into the game you progress.
The perspective of the game is third person. You play the part of
young Benjamin, a cool dude who lives with an eccentric scientist,
Uncle Alberto Einstone. However, during a cosmic experient involving
the discovery of worm holes, Alberto is kidnapped by evil aliens, who
look like Casper the-good-little-ghost clones. Your mission is to avoid
capture yourself and to rescue your uncle and, of course, save the
world from the threat posed by these alien invaders.
I couldn't get the game to run in either XP or VDM Sound; however
it ran without any problems in Dosbox. The only slight hitch was when
loading a saved game it would ask if I was sure I wanted to proceed as
there was no saved game. Just answering 'yes' will allow you to resume
the saved game without further delay. The interface couldn't be
simpler. Below the game screen are rows of squares which contain your
inventory items. To the far left are the arrows that allow you to
scroll through the items, and to the right is a disk icon that you
click upon to save/load/quit or go to the options screen. To interact
with any item or person on screen, you simply click the right mouse
button upon them. To access the inventory items, you just left click
upon them.
I really enjoyed every moment of this game. I get bored very
quickly if there isn't something interesting happening and if I don't
feel involved, but this game held me captive from its enigmatic start
to become ever more engrossing as the story unravelled.
Highly recommended for all ages and levels of experience. I rate this
game a four.

ALIEN
INCIDENT is another
typical evening for you -- watching your uncle once again attempt to
prove the world wrong by demonstrating that his wacky inventions really
do work. Well, maybe not quite so typical. Tonight is Halloween. People
are wandering the streets in costumes. Ghosts and goblins are
everywhere. Your uncle, meanwhile, activates his "wormhole spawner" and
the sky rips open. (A wormhole, as everyone knows, is a tunnel through
time and space, allowing travel across millions of light years in split
seconds.) Amazingly, he's done it. He's finally come up with a gizmo
that works...
FEATURES
An
extremely flexible and
user frienldly interface allowing the player to move cleanly through
the game. A succession of rendered animation sequences as the story
unfolds. The ability to manipulate virtually everything on screen
